Spiced Persimmon Quinoa Oats

lets get cozy with this bowl of quinoa oats.

while I love smoothies so much, oats just sound better when it’s 40 degrees in the morning

in a pot over medium heat add:

~1/3 cup quinoa flakes (I used this one)

~1 cup plant milk

~1 asian pear diced into small pieces

when it starts to cook & thicken add:

~1 tsp cinnamon

~1 tsp maca (I used this one by HealthForce Superfoods)

~1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

~ 1-2 chopped medjool dates

serve with 1 super ripe persimmon, pomegranate seeds, and mulberries

 

why I love quinoa flakes: they make me feel lighter and I have an easier time digesting them…do what works for your body though!
