When we went it was raining the entire week (early December) but that didn’t stop us from walking around and exploring. We used the iPhone app Grab to get around and we hired an awesome English speaking driver who took us on adventures (contact me for his info).

Ha Long Bay
~~we booked a tour for the day. The drive from Hanoi is about 3.5 hours each way. Super beautiful, highly recommend. Would be nice if we could’ve stayed longer

Ba Vì National Park
~~Our driver took us on a tour through villages and people generously opened up their homes for us. it was beautiful. probably our favorite day in Vietnam. Then we went to the national park to hike but couldn’t go too far up the mountain because of the fog, but managed to get a small hike in!
